It’s the 1st of December, which means it’s our £1 Donation Day!
These days really matter for keeping Protect the Wild moving forward. We don’t accept corporate money or depend on big grants. Everything we do is made possible by small donations from individual supporters.
And as this is the last £1 day of the month, it’s worth saying how important these have become in 2025. They’ve turned into a central part of our fundraising, helping us plan ahead and keep the work going consistently. Every pound genuinely helps keep the fight for British wildlife alive and the wheels turning.

Reached more than one million people through ITV News, making the case that the badger cull must end and that farmers need to take responsibility.
Helped protect birds by working with partner groups to stop Barclays installing bird netting in Norwich.
Donated £5,000, shared between three brilliant organisations: Noo Beginnings Animal Sanctuary, The Retreat Animal Rescue, and Humane Wildlife Solutions.
Exposed how hunts have received over £2.4 million in taxpayer funding since the hunting ban.
Uncovered vital information in the campaign to end the Guga hunt, and backed Rachel Bigsby’s Scottish Government petition, now surging past 14,000 signatures.
Supported North East Hunt Monitors in publicising the horrific footage of Richard Smith striking his horse. The clip has now been seen by over 10 million people on our channels and prompted coverage in The Mirror.
Published our ‘Death by a thousand failures’ report detailing how DEFRA’s governance is failing wildlife
Reached more than 30 million people across our social media this year with clear, pro-wildlife messaging.
These £1 drives are a perfect reminder of what this community can do when everyone chips in what they’re able. Across 2025, you’ve helped raise over £25,000 through these days alone, and that support has powered the largest undercover investigation into the bird shooting industry ever carried out. We’re now working through the footage, reviewing and analysing terabytes of material, and we’ll share the findings as soon as that process is complete.
