The only reason why hunters get away with their crimes, is the law has loopholes that means prosecution is almost impossible. Best wishes and lots of luck to you all

Happy Christmas Rob and all at PTW. Thanks for all the work you do to bring about an end to the barbarity that is hunting with hounds.

Tim Bonnet and Polly Portwin churning out the same old lame lies, so predictable and all rubbish

Can"t wait to listen. Hearing a pro hunter being 'torn to pieces' by a person who sees the animal kingdom as sentient beings we share this world with has made my Christmas. Best gift ever. Well done Rob.

These evil Hunter's also kill Hares and fox puppies and use terrier men to dig out foxes and Badgers with terrier dogs both types of dogs getting terribly injured. They teach their young hounds to kill by corraling fox puppies in a copse and send in the hounds to kill them. Can you imagine this happening to your pet dog, There's no difference, the terror and the killing pain are the same.

Fantastic news. It's about time this Law was enforced as the criminals who still hunt animals against the Law. The police and the RSPCA have for years encouraged or sided with the evil Hunter's, unfortunately including some of the royal family. When caught out these morons are only given small fines, rarely actual imprisonment as the Magistrates are friends and or Mason mates. I have been donating to get this new Law as the hounds are also abused and not looked after as they should be and even shot out of hand when older instead of being removed which can be done. We even saw one huntsman whipping his beautiful horse around his ears.

Good job Rob. The argument revolving around class is another smokescreen to maintain animal cruelty for enjoyment.

Fox trail hunting criminality and ban should be kept as a separate single issue apart from the proposed animal welfare legislation. Fox hunting is already been banned. This has given the Countryside Alliance and the tory opposition the opportunity together with others in the lords to oppose and hold up this matter for years in the lords like they did with fox hunting years ago. Never forget Labour had to pirogue parliament to get the fox hunt ban bill through. The trail fox hunt ban can be easily passed now as a simple amendment to the existing law it does not requiring votes or scrutiny in the lords. Labour are walking into a parliamentary ambush and should separate the issue.

Great news. Bonner brought up class and other nonsense- he still thinks torturing animals for fun is justified.

If trail hunting hadn't been used as a smokescreen, if hunts had aboded by the law, there would be no need for this ban. Although the Countryside Alliance claim the law is working, because there are ptosecutions and convictions, it is only recently that there has been more action. The number of convictions do not reflect the prolific law breaking that has taken place. There has been a lack of enforcement, prosecutions and convictions since 2004 but the public attitude to the flouting of the law shows the majority are against hunts continuing to pursue and kill foxes and other animals.

Many rural residents oppose the hunts and the Countryside Alliance must know that is the case. It is not as was claimed, defined by whether people are on the left of politics, that is them jumping on the bandwagon of attacking anyone on the left and conflating the situation to make it an us and them situation.

I have always opposed fox huntung on horseback, with hounds. I am disgusted that it is called sport. I welcomed the change to trail hunting and wish hunts had adapted their behaviour to adhere to that. The majority have not.

The hunting community has brought this on themselves. I have longed for a real ban and have hoped I would live to see it. This is the first time in decades it looks like it may happen.
