That is great news!! I am so glad this petition has managed to reach the 100,000 signatures it needs after being greatly concerned that it might not manage to for a while there. Thank you so much to everyone who signed and/or shared it 👍👏✊❤️💖💖!! Let's see now what all the MP's who attend the debate say..
Let’s get this headline news in mainstream media. Even the BBC must take notice now.
On another note ……I’d have a badger badge but the pin design never lasts and you lose the backing plate or the badge. Had many go this way so won’t be buying I’m afraid
Well done Protect the Wild. Its good this will be debated in Parliament. I have written numerous times to our new Labour M.P. I have written regarding the ineffective Badger cull and the promise to end hunting etc. She always replies but in normal government fashion being non committal. I have acknowledged to her the government has a lot on it plate trying to sort out the mess of the last 14 years but have emphasised this must not be at the cost to wildlife. I told her I have been a Labour supporter and member for many of my 80 years but will consider my political allegiance if the protection of wildlife is put on the back burner. Suggest all Protect the Wild supporters with Labour M.P's do the same. They need to support stopping the badger cull.
For too long each government has ignored the voices of the public, wanting the murdering badger spree to stop. This government lied to get into power, now they need to stand by their words and put an end to the needless killing of our beautiful British badgers!!!
Let us hope we get a good advocate in Parliament this time and that MPs finally realise that culling hundreds of thousands of innocent badgers will not reduce Btb in cattle. Much is up to farmers but, also, the government should be introducing vaccination for cattle. It is available and they can now differentiate between a cow that has Btb or has been vaccinated. So why is the government dragging its heels!!
Fantastic news, well done to all who helped get this across the line 👏👏👏
WELL DONE TO ROB, AND ALL WHO SIGNED THE GOVT PETITION TO END THE BADGER CULL .
