We need your voice to speak for the gannet chicks who never get the chance to take flight. Every year on the remote rock of Sula Sgeir, young seabirds are clubbed to death in the name of “tradition.” It is a cruel, outdated practice known as the Guga Hunt, and it must end.
This is not heritage.
It is barbaric. It is inhumane. It is unnecessary. And yet, it is still protected by law.
If you can’t join us on the day, you can still help - sign and share Rachel Bigsby’s petition to End the Guga Hunt.
Despite clear public opposition and a struggling gannet population on Sula Sgeir, the Scottish Government continues to allow this hunt to take place. But together, we can push for change.
Join us outside the Scottish Parliament on January 10th, 2026. 3pm to 4:30pm.
Stand with us to protest the unnecessary slaughter of gannet chicks.
Help raise awareness, hand out leaflets, and collect signatures for Rachel Bigsby’s petition to end the hunt once and for all.
Even one hour of your time could help change everything.
Let’s show the government that Scotland’s wildlife deserves protection, not silence.
Let’s fight for the guga chicks who never get the chance to soar.
Be there. Speak out. Help end the Guga Hunt.
