Join the protest to end the Guga Hunt!
Join us 31.12.25 1pm-3pm to help gannet chicks.
Join us this New Year’s Eve for a peaceful walk-through in Inverness to stand up for the guga.
📍 Meet point: Morrisons, Inverness
📅 Date: 31 December 2025
⏰ Time: 1pm–3pm
On the last day of the year, while the world prepares to celebrate, Protect the Wild alongside dedicated activists will be taking part in a peaceful walk-through of Inverness to stand up for seabird chicks who are clubbed to death in the name of “tradition.”
This will be a calm, lawful, and non-violent walk-through, beginning at Morrisons, Inverness. We will be handing out leaflets, sharing information, and peacefully raising awareness about the brutal guga hunt, urging people in Inverness to stand with us and call on the government to ban the guga hunt once and for all.
On 31 December 2025, wildlife lovers and supporters of compassion will come together to expose the truth behind this cruel practice and show that Scotland is ready to move on. 69% of Scots already want the guga hunt to end. The public is ahead of the politicians. Now it is time to make that clear.
Tradition is never an excuse for cruelty.
Not in the 1800s. Not today. Not ever.
As we enter a new year, let us do so by standing up for the innocent and defenceless. These are seabird chicks who never get the chance to fly, because they are killed for profit and pride.
Join us. Walk with us peacefully. Stand up for the guga.
Their lives depend on people being willing to speak out.
In the meantime we urge you to sign Rachel Bigsby’s Govt petition calling on an end to the hunt.

Absolutely disgusting, will humans ever become civilised. We should not need to support petitions like this , it is so obviously wrong. Thank you for caring, wish I could be with you
Unfortunately, I am unable to travel far due to health conditions and caring responsibilities but I will be with you in spirit 👍✊! P.S. Already signed the govt petition!
