Signed and sent an email off to my MP as well! As my MP is Labour, I unfortunately don't know how effective it will be. I came across an interesting article a few months ago here: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cx2l8kq52y8o . The most interesting and true bit in that article I found is where a chartered surveyor says "There has always been a fundamental problem in this country with the cost of building anything," the surveyor says, "because we live on a small, highly populated, property-owning, democratic island."" 2 so true key points there: 1. being a "SMALL" island and 2. being "HIGHLY POPULATED"!! Again, Labour are still also forgetting (well, choosing to turn a blind eye to) the, close to, a million empty homes and businesses that are currently lying vacant across the UK and the many available low quality brown belt lands there are across the UK too!!
I think there must be a total halt/stop, on house building, other than for "BRITISH" born people and then, "NOT ON GREENFIELD SITES " as now, but "ONLY" on "BROWNFIELD SITES", as for our nations "WILDLIFE", they have the right in our country, to be where they are, maybe more than a right to be where they are, this "WORLD" is not just for the rights of the, so called, "HUMAN SPECIES", the "WORST" species on earth, the human species will "VANISH" in years to come, maybe with all the wildlife, the humans will "DESERVE" it, the "ANIMALS/WILD ANIMALS" will all die, due to the "HUMANS", sick, disgusting behaviour while on earth, "HAVE A GOOD DAY".
NEW HOUSING MINISTER WHO TOOK OVER FROM ANGELA RAYNER, BUILD BABY BUILD, NOT INTERESTED IN WILDLIFE OR THEIR HABITATS, IN THE POCKETS OF BUSINESSES WHO WILL MAKE MONEY FROM PROPOSALS TO RELAX PLANNING RULES. ONLY MORE EXPENSIVE HOMES AND LESS SOCIAL HOUSING, LAW STATES THAT BUILDERS CAN RENAGE ON AGREEMENT TO CUT AMOUNT OF SOCIAL HOMES BUILT, WHILE COUNCILS HAVE NO POWERS TO STOP THEM.
Signed and emailed my MP Rishi Sunak. Replied by letter voicing strong concerns about the Bill which is now in House of Lords where Govt is being pressed to make ‘vital improvements’. I doubt whether that will happen as wildlife seems to be at the bottom of the agenda in politics.
However, if we all keep trying and fight against nature being trashed, there is always hope.
Signed. Labour needs to tackle mass migration which is fuelling this
Very true!
