Sadly, I had my doubts that the poor badgers would be lucky enough that the sudden news of the general election being called would hopefully halt this temporarily but wanted to remain hopeful only until I read about this last night and in response, all I can say without swearing, is that I sincerely hope that Labour blooming well better keep their promise on this and end it if they get into power and don't u-turn on this like the current government has done! On the plus side, from the look of the current polls, the conservatives look like they are set to lose and labour set to win anyhow. I will be contacting my local labour MP to see what they say about this abhorrently barbaric and completely uneccessary "cull", sham "trial hunting" and the uneccessary and cruel import, sale and use of real fur for both the general public and for the so called king's guard's caps. The 2 biggest things that will decide my vote will be the party's policy on animals (wild, domestic and farm) and their policy on the environment. I do find it very hypocritical how badgers are meant to be rightfully protected from being killed by "people" of the "general public" by law yet, government officials can kill as many as they want, get clean away with it and are actually encouraged to barbarically do so by Deathra (what DEFRA are truly like with wildlife that I have seen others rightfully use)??!! Aren't we meant to live in an "equal" society??

DEFRA is an outdated institution that needs overhauling at the very least, or disbanded at best. It’s the bloody farmers that spread TB to their cattle, by ignoring the “guidelines” when their herd is infected. The tests for TB are outdated and unreliable as witnessed by the shocking treatment of Geronimo the Alpaca, who after all that public outcry and controversy turned out didn’t even have TB but he was killed anyway.

And so are we to loose one of our most iconic mammals because some arsehole in DEFRA hasn’t got a clue. NO!!!

Do t let’s forget the biggest mammals to cause and spread deadly diseases is HUMANS!!!!!!!!!
