I hope everyone had a lovely festive period! A big well done to all those who protested their local hunts!
I just wanted to send you all an update about South Thames Hunt Sabs, the group that were brutally attacked last weekend for simply protecting wildlife.
Well I am delighted to report that an incredible £8,000 was raised in a little over 24 hours! This means that not only can they replace the mobile phone and GoPro camera that were stolen from them but are now looking to purchase a vehicle!
A huge huge thank you to every single one of you that chipped in a few pounds earlier in the week. It just goes to show what can be achieved when people come together and needless to say South Thames Hunt Sabs will bounce back even stronger!
Below is the latest update from South Thames Hunt Sabs posted to their fundraising page
UPDATE FROM SOUTH THAMES HUNT SABS
Collectively, we have decided to no longer accept donations for our fundraiser. It is absolutely incredible that this generosity and level of support has not stopped but we feel that we do not want to over do-it. With that in mind, we are also incredibly grateful that we have achieved a longterm goal of raising money for a much needed vehicle which would accommodate our growing team. Honestly, we thought we wouldn’t be able to purchase a vehicle for another year or so!
We want to thank everyone who has shared our fundraiser on social media and elsewhere, for all the kind comments and messages of support and solidarity and a special thank you to Protect the Wild who have played a key part in the success of this fundraiser.
With that being said, we sincerely hope that the kindness and generosity of people does not stop; we want it to continue elsewhere. This time of year is life and death for many, not just wildlife. Our team have a mutual interest in intersectionality and believe it is important to support and highlight other causes, movements, solidarity work, mutual and beyond. So, we strongly encourage that anyone who was intending on sending us a donation consider doing this elsewhere. Food banks, animal sanctuaries, community projects, other hunt sabotage and wildlife protection groups and more all would appreciate this.
However, we would like to encourage others to support Happy Pants Ranch Charity with their fundraiser. They are a great animal sanctuary home to over 450 animals who have been abused and require special needs, but face closure following an eviction notice by the local council. Money raised will help them relocate which would save the animals from homeless and enable the sanctuary to continue their invaluable work for years to come.

Once again, huge thanks, gratitude and appreciation!
In solidarity,
South Thames Hunt Sabs
Wonderful that so much was raised so quickly & that an opportunity to donate to 'Happy Pants' Sanctuary was recommended. Wishing the attacked & injured sabs All the Very Best for 2025.
The Boxing Day huntscum interviewed on TV news could not have been more patronising as they pontificated on 'misunderstanding, lack of understanding of country ways' etc. The subtext being 'hoi polloi are so ignorant, yah?'.
We understand THIS, huntscum: You enjoy chasing, terrifying, digging out & watching the dismemberment & bloody killing of wildlife any chance you get - that makes you psychos on horseback.
The innocent animals whose lives we value & want to protect are British wildlife that belong to US, not you. You are killers in fancy dress & we, the people, will see the end of you.
Btw, it's worth noting that TV news reported 'Labour has promised a stronger ban, but say it's not a high priority'. Think I'll point out to the Labour MP representing my constituency (not me) that IT HAD BETTER BE HIGH PRIORITY ASAP. Labour doorknockers during the election campaign made a big thing about this issue trying to get my vote.
I am so pleased they have been given so much so quickly enabling them to reequipe promtly, however the hunt must be made to pay for their outrageous unprovoked assaults & theft, the HSA & CA if they have any morals should condemn this behaviour with Bans.
