Without any of the ludicrous fanfare surrounding the ‘Inglorious 12th’ but with 100 times the number of birds involved, today sees the opening shots fired in ‘the pheasant shooting season’.
Thankyou so much for that list, I will not be shopping at Apley farm shop anymore and neither will my family as we are all bird lovers and believe hunting them for so called kicks is disgusting and these people need to move on and learn some compassion.
Does it not make you feel "SICK", to be a member of the "HUMAN RACE", what is "RIGHT" about the "KILLING" of "BIRDS", a man (usually) with a "GUN" "KILLING AS A "SPORT", what is "RIGHT" about "COWARDLY HUNTERS", "KILLING WILDLIFE" as a "SPORT" with "GUNS", what is "RIGHT" about "COWARDLY HUNTERS" "KILLING WILDLIFE" as a "SPORT" with "DOGS", it goes "ON AND ON", this "PLANET EARTH" of ours, is for all "SPECIES", not just for the "HUMAN SPECIES", I am not a religious man, but has it been "WRITTEN" anywhere, that "HUMANS" can "KILL WILDLIFE AS SPORT"??? I should not think so, but I might be wrong, one thing I do know, is the "HUMAN RACE" is (not all) the "WORST SPECIES" on "PLANET EARTH", us "HUMANS" will "PAY" one day, "LEAVE THE GOODNESS OF NATURES WILDLIFE TO LIVE IN PEACE"
I don't know if we'll see an end in my lifetime but there is progress. Much more is needed and I hope the new government will keep it's promises to ban snares and trail hunting and soon.
Apart from the cruelty involved in breeding the pheasants there is the fact that they are eating all the things our NATIVE wildlife need to survive. As if modern farming practices and poisons weren't bad enough our landscape is now empty as foretold by Rachel Carson in Silent Spring.
Shooting birds for the ‘pleasure’ of killing them is a form of stimulation. As with all forms of stimulation there is a constant ‘demand’ to go for something ‘stronger’ to maintain the level of stimulation.
So where will shooting go to respond to this natural development? We know that in a comparable world - that of pornography - where it starts off being about stimulation but then - as the demand for something ‘stronger’ grows to maintain the same thrill - it moves on to such unpleasant and illegal activities as humiliation and perverse forms of control and even sadism. So where might shooters go when the ‘thrill’ of killing live birds is no longer enough? It might not involve guns but it will certainly involve inappropriate and unpleasant control and possibly humiliation and ..
Whatever it leads to will have started with killing animals for ‘fun’. No-one who does this is involved in an activity that promotes fulfilment or compassion, equality or social integration.
And for this reason it should be resisted and discouraged. Or else the shooters may well end up turning their guns on us at some point. Now wouldn’t that be a thrill!!
WE HAVE SEEN HOW PEOPLE HAVE NO RESPECT FOR ANY FORM OFF LIFE,( 12 YEAR OLDS COMMITING MURDER,) SO WHY SHOULD WE BE SURPRISED AT THE WAY ANIMALS ARE TREATED BY VILE SCUM. I MEAN IT MUST MAKE THEM FEEL GOOD KILLING ANIMALS WITH GUNS, WHEREAS HOW IS AN ANIMAL TO DEFEND THEMSELVES?
Also it's dangerous for the general public if these filthy beasts are handling bloodied bird carcasses there's a greater chance they'll pick up bird flu and pass it on. They are a menace to us all. They need to be outlawed.

The upper classes got where they are today through social order and religion but the bible mentions compassion frequently. It's ironic. All they ever do is punch down and they get away with it because the CPS protects them.
