There are two points here - the first is that in some parts of the coutry badgers are still being shot as part of a profoundly wrong belief that badgers spread TB in cattle; and then there are these thugs blocking badger setts when the truth is that badgers are significantly more sophisticated than the thugs can ever hope to be. And all of takes place when there is a law which is called The Protection of Badgers Act.

There is a total disconnect and all of it is just so terribly, so frustratingly and so completely wrong.

The rule of law and fox hunting don't go together in the same sentence in our counts in this country. Its always hard to find any real justice for this kind of countryside criminality. At least this is something to be thankful for as one more nail in the coffin for bloodsports.

ENOUGH! It really is time that we stop being the 'nice' people who protest and carry posters. It's right and proper that we do protest, but south more concrete and physical needs to be done.

In all seriousness, if anyone would like to discuss this further, please leave their some form of contact details here please.

Couldn’t agree more Ray. I’d urge anyone interested in taking peaceful but direct action to join the Hunt Saboteurs Association and then a local affiliated group.

Dave, I appreciate what you say believe me, and I have the utmost respect and admiration for sab members, facing the bastards on horseback and others. For them, there is as a 'sport' and enjoyment in kicking a sab's head in as much as killing innocent animals.

I fully support protest and sabbing, but also believe that taking violent actions against these thugs is justified and potentially as effective if not more.

Provided it's not done in public view, where the police can come to the aid of the hunt supporters, it creates an atmosphere of "who is out there" and "will it be me next".

My respect for hunt sabotage is higher than it is possible to say.

I understand your view Ray but can’t agree. To my mind, if we act violently then we are sinking to the hunters level and it also makes their violence to us justifiable in their minds. Martin Luther King and the civil rights movement achieved what they did through largely non violent protest and of course because they were in the right. So are we and I’m certain that hunting with hounds is a dead sport walking. Keep the faith 💪

We have absolutely got to get the MPs to put their money where their mouths are and get off their backsides and enjoying luxuries we cannot afford at the cost to us older people and get this new Bill through urgently, to stop these evil wildlife murderers and the Authorities who look the other way when criminal acts take place, from hurting and killing sentient beautiful gentle mammals/ animals for their sadistic pleasure, and give them meaningful sentences not these deferred ones which are meaningless.

Criminal thugs all of them. I wonder if low lives Brennan, Johnson, Woodward, Barns and their wealthy hunting masters were at the farmers protest today, whining, squirming and complaining they are at last having to pay their fair share of tax they have avoided for generations. About time too.

Presumably you send all these articles that you produce, showing the illegal activities of the hunts, to the police or whoever can take action? With all this evidence, how do they keep doing what they do and getting away with it?

I agree Fiona.

@ PTW, can you please collate a dossier of all the convictions linked to fox hunting and a piece to go alongside it. We can then use this to forward to MP’s, and PCC’s and local councils to demand action.

I fear that while those of us who care about these things are fully in the know, the majority are not and we need to educate the public and keep the pressure on the politicians to bring about a proper ban as soon as possible

I agree. I find it staggering how many people, even animal lovers, are completely in the dark about what's really going on with our wildlife. I was having a conversation with my hairdresser a while ago & she had no idea fox hunting was still happening. But I thought it was illegal she said innocently. I took her lots of info the next time I went & it really opened her eyes. We need to do more of this as people really have no clue.

Regarding the smoke screen that is trail hunting…can the hunts explain where/how they get fox urine to lay so many ‘trails’?We know that there are few ,if any hunts that lay trails. If they do obtain fox urine is it through killing a fox, or confining a fox, or disturbing a fox den, which in itself is surely against the law?
