FFS, why on earth can’t the politicians be trusted to stop fox hunting in Scotland once and for all. To not seek to identify if a license applicant is connected to a fox hunt is simply stupid and negligent. 😡
Heart sinking. Why is it that these official bodies, who are supposed to be protecting our wildlife, seem Hellbent on eradicating every last living wild soul. I would love to put them in the place of a hunted fox, deer, hare etc & if they live to tell the tale, ask them if they now feel differently about closing loopholes once & for all.
It seems to me NatureScott is a failed quango. It failed for years on the Guga Hunt and now failing to scrutinise licence applications allowing hunts to exploit loopholes. I think they need renaming any suggestions?
I often wonder about the financial, social , political, judiciary influence this industry has over politicians. However, politicians may also be subconsciously reluctant to upset this crowd - they are the ones who are violent and they are the ones with the guns
The name "NatureScot" is definitely a misnomer. They are certainly not looking after nature and wildlife. It seems to me that they're only looking after the cruel and entitled. Politicians and organisations that issue licences to kill do seem to be very reluctant to upset the hunters.
