I think a lot of people would agree we would be happier to live in harmony with nature not against it.

WITH LABOUR INTENT ON BUILDING EVERYWHERE AND ANYWHERE, LABOUR ARE JUST INTERESTING IN KEEPING BUSINESESS HAPPY, BECAUSE THEY CONTROL THE POLITICIANS. THIS INTURN MEANS MORE POLUTION, WITH MORE TRAFFIC AND IMPORTING FOOD FROM OVERSEAS. MORE HEALTH ISSUES WITH MENTAL HEALTH AND BREATHING PROBLEMS FOR PEOPLE AND ALL WILDLIFE KILLED OFF AS THEY HAVE NO HABITAT TO LIVE AND FEED OFF.

Indeed Sarah. What is the matter with our Government. If this were another country culling their signature wildlife there would be an outcry around the world, I'm hoping this cull is reaching out to the world of animal lovers for their input on how bad this country treats it's wildlife. It's just barbaric and insane, as well as a cop out!

I am repeatedly "PISSED OFF" with the "HUMAN RACE", again and again, it's "KILL" "KILL" "KILL", every "EFFING" time, why on earth can't they leave our "AMAZING" "WILDLIFE" alone, I get "ANGRY"and think I could go against the law and do something "DIABOLICAL" so as those "MORONS" in power, could "FOR CHRIST SAKE" "EFFING" listen, to what "NATURE" is telling them, the "LABOUR PARTY" have their chance, to do what they said they would do, but so far "LIES" "LIES" "LIES", the "RT HONOURABLE", "SIR KEIR STARMER" "HONOURABLE", what an effing "JOKE", lets make him do what the "LABOUR PARTY", said they would do, where "WILDLIFE WAS CONCERNED", then maybe he can change it back from "DISHONOURABLE", to (HOPEFULLY) "HONOURABLE", lets wait and see, "ANIMAL/WILD ANIMAL" "SUPPORTER/LOVER"

THE BADGER CULL IS A WASTE OF TIME AND WASTED MONEY TO THE TAX PAYER THE WAY THINGS ARE GOING, BADGERS WILL BE GONE FOR EVER. THE FARMERS NEED TO VACCINE THEIR OWN COWS.

if the farmers just kept better, cleaner farms and stopped spreading shit on the fields it would help.

As usual it's a con and just a different set of lies from a new gang of liars. The fact that Labour will not take action until the end of the first term speak volumns. If they don't get a second term then nothing will change and the cull will continue. If they do get a second term they can still delay and the cull will continue. ALL parties have the blood of 300,000+ badgers on their hands :(

These views are mine own.

A splendid analysis of once more a travesty of smoke screening. So yet again we are going to spend a fortune on blaming and killing badgers, taking our eye completely off the ball, the cattle. We should be spending that time, effort and money on trying to clear the disease from the national herd, the source of bovine TB. While it remains rampant, with 2461 new herd incidence found with certain knowledge of others left behind rampant is a fare description. Yes, In England it’s down by 493 on the previous year, but then the number of herds fell by 2052 as the industry declines. To accept a need to continue killing badgers, not because they have disease, but because they may get it, is an acceptance of ongoing disease in cattle as a source. A demonstration of true intent. Why? because the farmers and the NFU won’t let them do anything that disrupts the industry. Remember Derbyshire, A valiant fight by the vaccinators, a prime Ministers Intervention, A legal battle with the NFU won, yet that badger cull still went ahead the year after. Somehow this dictatorial mob seems always to get their own way, not because of, after 11 years of culling, a resultant need and not because of any incontrovertible science proof but because of a combination of dictate, blackmail and bullying. And Labour called the Tories Weak. Perhaps the country can’t afford the legal bill but then can they afford to continue paying for all the compensation and all that inadequate testing.

Rosie Woodroffe.

If the existing licences were withdrawn right now, three things would happen. First, the cull companies would seek judicial review. And most likely they would win. Their lawyers would cite published research showing the benefits of culling take ≥4 years to emerge 10/25

Second, the issue will become, if anything, even more polarised. A legal battle between government and farming leaders will entrench the narrative of a metropolitan elite pitted against the countryside. No-one will listen to talk of alternatives 11/25 This one straight out of the Countryside Alliance, handbook.

Third, a proportion of farmers would do what a proportion of wildlife lovers did when faced with a policy which transgressed their ideas of both evidence and values. They would take the law into their own hands and do what they believed to be needed 12/25 https://sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S0743016711000167

As long as farmers believe that killing badgers is the solution to TB, badgers will be killed. And, culling will remain politicised, to be brought back at the next change of government. Culling will only end for good when farmers want it to end 14/25

Where is their any disease motivation in any of these warnings.

It’s such a sad fact that the government again has lied to get into power, and they are not interested in protecting nature but only in making money. Unfortunately they will always pick greed over nature. We have to just keeping speaking up tirelessly for those creatures without voices and try to protect them. I was hoping for a different outcome but, I’m not surprised!
