The Gloucestershire Police are a joke, they haven't prosecuted the Huntstaff which includes Masters & terriermen. The only assumption anyone can make is that they're pandering to the high & mighty, the poor vixen didn't get into a bag & tie it herself. This Police Force the PCC & Chief Constable are unfit for office of upholding the law,it was rather convenient that the poor fox was put in the sack in the artificial earth,& the hunt was in the wood with the hounds,& not following a so-called trail. The other consideration is why do the hunts use so called fox urine for the smokescreen of supposedly laying a trail ? answer is so they can illegally hunt & kill foxes on a daily basis. The blokes with lurchers if caught poaching have their vehicles, dogs, equipment confiscated & are prosecuted, there's no difference between them & the hunts,so why the disparity, money the hunts are baked by the Masters & so called Gentry. They think they're above the law but they're not, they along with the Police are making a mockery of the Hunting Act Law & sticking two fingers up to it.

Absolutely shameful! The Police should be ashamed as they could have prosecuted the terrier men, ALL of them whose DNA was on the fox let alone the sack. Easily eliminate the SABS who rescued her. I hope she recovered. The Police and Magistrate involved obviously have friends in the Hunt and approve of their cruelty to a beautiful sentient animal. No doubt the SABS and other animal lovers would have contributed to the DNA costs.

During WWII there was no hunting. Where necessary fox numbers were controlled by the Ministry of Agriculture who supplied cartridges to locals who were good shots. It worked then and it could work now. Shooting ability assessed and a proper licence issued.
