This is wonderful. How do we send info to you for the red list. It would need to be confidential for obvious reasons

Hi Anne. Thanks. You can use the email database@protectthewild.org.uk right now. Once the site goes live you'll be able to use a dedicated Contact form (that has an option to be credited or not). All the best

This is a great idea, top marks to whoever thought this idea up, I am sure it will make a deference and we supporters, can spread the word by mouth to anyone who would like to listen, great.

Thanks for the kind words James. Ideas come from many sources but like everything we do at PTW putting it together is a team effort - and that team includes our amazing supporters who help us turn the ideas into reality :)

Yet another great initiative from PTW! Not only will it enable pro-wildlife customers to avoid supporting anti-wildlife businesses but such a ‘red list’ will help to further generate a sense of community amongst wildlife supporters.

Perhaps a ‘complementary’ service might also shout out those businesses that are pro-actively supportive of wildlife in various ways. Such a ‘green list’ would be useful for pro-wildlifers who want to pro-actively support such enterprises.

Thanks very much David. That's exactly what we hope to achieve :) We did think about a 'green list' of 'wins' and figured that (for now anyway) we would flag businesses up via Substack. The web dev has offered to be 'on call' for any additions we need though, and adding new 'blocks' won't be difficult so it is something we're thinking about for the future. Cheers

This is a fantastic idea! Brilliant work Protect the Wild! You are all amazing!! This will be very useful for compassionate people like us to use! I do donate monthly so I hope what I do give is helping and, although as someone who doesn't use any social media, if I do hear or see anything through internet searches, email feeds and/or word of mouth about businesses with ties to hunting/shooting/culling or those who are taking a strong stand against them, I will email it to you through that address.

Such a wonderful service! Thank you all. Please can you ensure that you include the "blood thirsty" activities in Wales?

Locals where I live go "lamping"

at night, I will try to get some photos.

Anne Meredith, if you manage to get some photos, may I kindly suggest contacting the charity "NatureWatch Foundation" on their wildlife crime line/contact form about this too as "lamping", as far as I am aware, is supposed to be illegal I believe and is wildlife crime.

Cara, thank you for your reply. I will try my best to get pictures of these truly evil people. And then I will share them far and wide, to anyone who can possibly put an end to this.

Ironically this takes place behind the local RSPCA shelter!

You are most welcome! I have copied the link here for the Nature Watch Foundation Wildlife Crime contact page: https://naturewatch.org/get-involved/report-suspected-animal-abuse/

I hope it helps and I wish you the best of luck with trying to get pictures of those sadistic barbarians! Sadly, I wish I could say I was more surprised by that happening behind an RSPCA shelter but I am afraid very little surprises me these days.

Hi Lynda. Thanks for you passion, but a quick note to say that many of these practices (eg providing support to shooting parties) are not illegal and we're not suggesting that any business listed is acting unlawfully because that could get us sued for libel. Disgusting though, definitely. :)

"who SUPPORT..."

I was talking about HUNTING, not the businesses. The hunting is illegal, is it not?
