Now we are aware of how low they can sink, are there plans from any society to oppose this on a very big scale? We have knowledge that needs action. Please keep us informed of anything we can do.
What a tissue of lies and more lies- meanwhile perfectly innocent badgers are being slaughtered by the thousand. Is it Defras wish to have a world without wildlife- what a sad future for our children, and a threat to our eco system.
In has been proven that cattle that have had no contact with badgers, still suffer from TB- that needs a truthful explanation.
Beware of the NFU and the Milk Marketing Board. The information they keep secret will make you sick. And it is probably doing so already. Enjoy that Milk.
They can’t do this, it’s wrong on every level . This would be a crime against nature for sure. Who the Fck do they think they are GOD ??? NO HUMAN IS ABOVE NATURE OR CAN EVER BE !! The TB racket is not because of badgers , the farmers know this .!!
This is so utterly depressing. How DARE they do this? Animals seem to have no rights in our country. Please please let's make sure we get a change of government - to one that isn't linked to all the wealthy landowners and farmers who promote this terrible myth that badgers must be culled. It's like being in a nightmare :(
We don't have many rights either , we don't even have the right to free thinking any more. And our wild life is abused. Our live stock is treated worse than in concentration camp's, and that how we treat sentient beings. Not much hope for us
The whole government is corrupt all they care about is money (backhanders )that's going to line their own pockets and the dairy industry and the.countryside alliance fit in nicely, most belong to the hunting fraternity so that's why all the lies are told about badgers.I doubt if half of them even know the facts they are ignorant and will do what they want
I am enclosing a link (which I did post on an earlier comment) that Wild Justice included in their latest newsletter re government consultation re bovine tb etc. Wild Justice will be reading through and helping with answers to consultation.
It would be a help if many could respond to this consultation.
I think it would also be advisable for people to find any local Badger Trust group in their areas. I live in Bedfordshire and there will be a new group being set up to cover Bedfordshire. This is in its early stages but if anyone lives in Beds I will post contact name. There are groups in other areas which are long established and if one contacts The Badger Trust they will be able to advise.
Quite honestly nothing these days surprises me at all regarding the present government. We do need to act quickly.
Thank you Joan. I have responded to the link. I don't think my comments will be appreciated on it or any notice given to me, but perhaps if people swamped the consultation negatively, it is at least a protest sign. I would like to hear that The Badger Trust itself is doing something??
Hi Joan, I have written to my local MP (North Herefordshire - yes, I know) on a number of these issues and he has reverted with bog standard letters from the responsible minister, the last of which I took particular umbrage to, and wrote back specifically questioning the minister's answers on some nine points. I copied Wild Justice, the CPRE, Protect the Wild and League Against Cruel Sports.
We need to put massive pressure on the government and engage the public as much as possible. That's the only way. The whole incompetent and heartless system stinks.
Well done you! My MP wants to cull all wildlife apparently and his responses to emails are the same as you have received! I suspect MPs share a template, can't think up their own defensive nonsense!
I haven't forgotten that poor alcapa murdered by defra because according to them it had tb despite various tests saying it did not After they murdered it they were forced to say it didn't have tb.They think they no it all but in fact they are just ignorant bullies .When Rishi and co have destroyed all the badgers I wonder what he will kill next?We soon will not have any wildlife so no countryside
Yes, I'd forgotten about that. Those in 'Deathra' all seem to be psychopaths; hellbent on destroying wildlife instead of preserving it. It's awful. I think this is the worst government the UK has ever had. Ever.
Hope they come down with a big bang and if labour or whoever else gets in stops all this cruelty.Mind they are so devious it wouldn't suprise me if they suddenly had a surge of votes 😭
When DEFRA and its FARMING cronies have wiped out all the wildlife , Badgers culled and cattle still contacting tb it will be too late. The farmers and poor husbandry is to blame. If i had my way i would cull the farmers and defra.
Agree! When they have killed our beautiful badgers and find they still have a problem with TB, I wonder who or what will be their next innocent victim to scapegoat? Maybe foxes, so they can continue hunting and persecuting them!
Maybe time to star hammering the 'immunize the cattle' approach. It is daft they do do not use a cheap nd effective immunization approach. Would help reduce it in badgers too. NO! Immunise badgers as well!
My mum has had foxes in her garden for at least 20 yrs, it's lovely to see the cubs playing in the back garden, yet last year she received a letter stating that she was encouraging vermin & she was an awful person for allowing this to carry on. This is the type of person that hates nature, they have spotless gardens, decking, gravel, potted containers, complete idiots. Labour isn't any better, look at there puppet starmer, a blairite, a man that allowed jimmy Saville to continue his sick reign of terror, a man that supports mass immigration & trans rights. The wef wants to shut down all dairy farms world wide, so what if any risk are badgers to anyone? Look at drag hunting & live exports of animals abroad, factory farmed animals, caged hens, veal crates the list of abuse just carries on & on. Pheasant & grouse shooting, the continued use of lead shot in shoots.
Nature's so beautiful, I think we forget. We are lucky enough to have fields, we leave a third wild . We have deer, badgers, hedgehogs , pheasants etc. Hopefully soon we will have our swifts back , which makes our summer just a little bit better along with our Barn owl AND nesting kites.
I love the swifts, there's a village hall near me & up in the gable is where they have their nests, every year they come back to those very nests & then get busy making repairs for the nesting season. We've got pheasants, a couple of years back I came across a female with her young ones, they were running along a footpath that boarders the golf course. I lived in Scotland for a few years & had gone down to the beach for the day, we were coming back early morning & in our headlights were mum dad & several young badgers trotting along the country lane. We pasted slowly & I was able to wind down the window & marvel at their beauty. We've got deer aswell, I was cycling home one Sunday on the cycleway behind tescos & as I rounded the corner a deer jumped out, she ran in front of them then jumped back into an area of undergrowth behind tescos carpark. There's a few hedgehogs, slow worms, buzzards, owls due to the location, semi rural close to the river Severn
Many thanks Rosemary and I suspect this will be the Wild Justice approach to the consultation. So many consultations appear to be deliberately difficult I've noticed. I can remember responding to the invasive species questions and that took some time. ....and a few unwritten swear words!
That is true. They intentionally make it difficult as it becomes too much of a chore for most people who have their own busy lives to get on with (most just trying to keep their heads above water these days :-( )
Thank you for trying....I am waiting for help from Wild Justice as I think some of the questions are scientific and my little grey cells are rather limited these days!
Now we are aware of how low they can sink, are there plans from any society to oppose this on a very big scale? We have knowledge that needs action. Please keep us informed of anything we can do.
It worked !!!
Thank you for the tip Rosemary!x
Please stop killing badgers they are beautiful: I'm lucky to have them nightly in my garden and their gorgeous cubs ❤️
I hope you can keep them safe. I would love some in my garden too.
Mum's the word only people who know is badgers trust

And their answer is to torture live stock for profit. (The new God)

Just keep on caring, protesting and shouting. for all rights. We need to make a tsunami of protests.
Instead of wasting money on the slaughtering badgers it would be better spent on finding a vaccine to combat this and leave the wildlife alone
It is an easy way out to blame everything else and not sort out the root of the trouble
Badgers are a beautiful animal we are lucky to have them so they need protection
Is there any way to get the mainstream media involved in this - as long as they put the FULL story out there ; as opposed to deathra's lies .
Channel 4 again? Is there someone out there co-ordinating this?
The whole government is corrupt all they care about is money (backhanders )that's going to line their own pockets and the dairy industry and the.countryside alliance fit in nicely, most belong to the hunting fraternity so that's why all the lies are told about badgers.I doubt if half of them even know the facts they are ignorant and will do what they want
appalling, the zealots at DeathRA clearly enjoy the killing and so called 'Natural England' are a disgrace

Yes, they probably do. Our MPs are not fit for purpose. They do not serve the public, but rather themselves and their friends in business.
Exactly 💯
Exactly the same here too with all the responses back from my MP!

I've tried Joan but it won't let me progress beyond question 9 . I will try again later .

So lovely!
Agree 💯 but I cannot really see any alternative although I wish there was
