Now we are aware of how low they can sink, are there plans from any society to oppose this on a very big scale? We have knowledge that needs action. Please keep us informed of anything we can do.

Please stop killing badgers they are beautiful: I'm lucky to have them nightly in my garden and their gorgeous cubs ❤️

What a tissue of lies and more lies- meanwhile perfectly innocent badgers are being slaughtered by the thousand. Is it Defras wish to have a world without wildlife- what a sad future for our children, and a threat to our eco system.

In has been proven that cattle that have had no contact with badgers, still suffer from TB- that needs a truthful explanation.

Beware of the NFU and the Milk Marketing Board. The information they keep secret will make you sick. And it is probably doing so already. Enjoy that Milk.

They can’t do this, it’s wrong on every level . This would be a crime against nature for sure. Who the Fck do they think they are GOD ??? NO HUMAN IS ABOVE NATURE OR CAN EVER BE !! The TB racket is not because of badgers , the farmers know this .!!

This is so utterly depressing. How DARE they do this? Animals seem to have no rights in our country. Please please let's make sure we get a change of government - to one that isn't linked to all the wealthy landowners and farmers who promote this terrible myth that badgers must be culled. It's like being in a nightmare :(

Instead of wasting money on the slaughtering badgers it would be better spent on finding a vaccine to combat this and leave the wildlife alone

It is an easy way out to blame everything else and not sort out the root of the trouble

Badgers are a beautiful animal we are lucky to have them so they need protection

Is there any way to get the mainstream media involved in this - as long as they put the FULL story out there ; as opposed to deathra's lies .

appalling, the zealots at DeathRA clearly enjoy the killing and so called 'Natural England' are a disgrace

I am enclosing a link (which I did post on an earlier comment) that Wild Justice included in their latest newsletter re government consultation re bovine tb etc. Wild Justice will be reading through and helping with answers to consultation.

https://consult.defra.gov.uk/bovine-tb/bovine-tb-consultation-wildlife-cattle/

It would be a help if many could respond to this consultation.

I think it would also be advisable for people to find any local Badger Trust group in their areas. I live in Bedfordshire and there will be a new group being set up to cover Bedfordshire. This is in its early stages but if anyone lives in Beds I will post contact name. There are groups in other areas which are long established and if one contacts The Badger Trust they will be able to advise.

Quite honestly nothing these days surprises me at all regarding the present government. We do need to act quickly.

The mainstream narrative seems to be that animals don't deserve to be free, and belong in captivity. For some people, this extends to other people who they designated as animals for behaving badly or criminally. Some people are delighted by reading about chimps in a zoo who express awe when a zoo visitor shows his prosthetic leg, allegedly. Though most people don't feel any concern for animals that suffer in captivity. I think that there are people who know that animals are sentient, yet deny such because they know it makes people who care angry. And when people get angry, they become more like animals themselves and so empathise more. A vicious cycle that widens the separation between the unconscious oppressed class and the conscious oppressing class. Does an animal belong in captivity? How can an animal intend to commit crime? In which case, being a criminal is not a choice, but a destiny imposed by society and societal standards. Which could mean that society is the criminal because it causes crimes to be committed and chooses the person who is punished.

When DEFRA and its FARMING cronies have wiped out all the wildlife , Badgers culled and cattle still contacting tb it will be too late. The farmers and poor husbandry is to blame. If i had my way i would cull the farmers and defra.

Maybe time to star hammering the 'immunize the cattle' approach. It is daft they do do not use a cheap nd effective immunization approach. Would help reduce it in badgers too. NO! Immunise badgers as well!

My mum has had foxes in her garden for at least 20 yrs, it's lovely to see the cubs playing in the back garden, yet last year she received a letter stating that she was encouraging vermin & she was an awful person for allowing this to carry on. This is the type of person that hates nature, they have spotless gardens, decking, gravel, potted containers, complete idiots. Labour isn't any better, look at there puppet starmer, a blairite, a man that allowed jimmy Saville to continue his sick reign of terror, a man that supports mass immigration & trans rights. The wef wants to shut down all dairy farms world wide, so what if any risk are badgers to anyone? Look at drag hunting & live exports of animals abroad, factory farmed animals, caged hens, veal crates the list of abuse just carries on & on. Pheasant & grouse shooting, the continued use of lead shot in shoots.

Many thanks Rosemary and I suspect this will be the Wild Justice approach to the consultation. So many consultations appear to be deliberately difficult I've noticed. I can remember responding to the invasive species questions and that took some time. ....and a few unwritten swear words!
