During my years of wildlife rescue, Sabs brought me a fox cub they had been trying to help but it had occasional fits, like epilepsy. My vet determined this was most likely caused by secondary lead poisoning, i.e. the vixen had been shot with lead pellets but attempted to go on feeding her cubs. No other member of the cub's family was found alive. Vet's decision was that he would not survive in the wild so either keep him tame with care, or put him to sleep! He lived with us for eight years, wonderfully happy! If I ever get around to writing my substack, his full story will be there! (Sigh, one day I will!) Lead is lethal, no ifs or buts about it! Stop the ideas of 'voluntary', they never work in the countryside where noone sees. Ban the production and sale! Preferably just ban guns!

No surprise yet again, they can't be trusted to do anything voluntarily. And these morons claim to be custodians of the countryside! They only fool themselves with that lie.

What can I say, other than "MOST" of the human race is "SICK"".

A VOLUNTARY BAN WOULD NEVER WORK, YOU HAVE TO HAVE LAWS AND BE ABLE TO ENFORCE THEM TO STOP USING LEAD. PEOPLE WOULD JUST CARRY ON DOING WHAT THEY HAVE ALWAYS DONE. IT IS JUST A SMOKESCREEN BY ORGANISATIONS TO PRETEND TO BE SEEN TO BE DOING SOMETHING, BUT NOT DO ANYTHING.

Not surprising but an appalling response to a voluntary ban. It says it all about the mindset of the shooters. I have signed and shared the petition. Thank you for the link.
