Have just completed the feedback form (although did it as a 'complaint'), stating what was suggested and adding in that it's not only cruel but illegal, and why would the RHS want to associate themselves with such activities. BTW thank you to Rob and all at Protect the Wild for your hard work and commitment.
I completed a feedback form and asked for reassurance that the RHS would cut ties with The Newt, only to receive back the same standard e mail received following my first e mail to them a week ago. So, I have written again as follows:
Thanks for your e mail, which unfortunately is the same standard one I received when writing to you about this last week. It doesn’t answer the questions i have raised and I would be grateful for a more meaningful response please.
My wife and I were planning to visit Wisley soon but will not be able to do so until we have reassurance that the RHS will having nothing to do with The Newt until they commit to not allowing hunting on their land. I fail to understand why the RHS would want to be associated with an organisation which supports fox hunting
I look forward to hearing from you.
No reply as yet but the message is don’t accept the RHS standard text which reads as:
Thank you for contacting us.
The RHS has not had any involvement with BSV Hunt groups, does not condone illegal activity and strongly disagrees with illegal fox hunts.
We have highlighted to The Newt in Somerset views and concerns that have been shared with us about this. Please contact the Newt in Somerset direct for any further comment or insight.
On another note, I have been made aware by Substack of a new follower called 'Kid Rock'. I do check profiles or recognise regular contributors on here, and that's great they join me, thank you. Kid Rock however does not have any form of profile, which makes me suspicious. Hello Kid Rock, like to reveal yourself please?
Filled out the RHS Feedback/complaints form yesterday, asking them to do exactly that. I’m sure they don’t want their name associated with a bunch of entitled law breaking wildlife murders.
I have completed a Feedback/Complaints form at length as a resident of rural Somerset. I consider the continued existence of the Sparkford & Blackvale Hunt to be a blight on our county. To discover first that a Somerset business (The Newt), despite claiming a green philosophy, hosts the Hunt on its estate and now that the RHS has a major sponsorship deal with that business has brought the RHS well down in my estimation.
HAVE COMPLETED FEEDBACK FORM TO RHS AND HAVE SENT A COMMENT TO DAILY MAIL WEEKEND TELEVISION MAGAZINE ABOUT PRESENTERS MENTIONING THE NEWT SOMERSET EVERY BBC EPSIODE OF CHELSEA FLOWER SHOW
Feedback done. But didn't wait for the standard response. Contact the Newt, who allow illegal hunts to continue on their land.
By phone, or better yet, add a review on Google, stating you are against their involvement. RHS should be ashamed of their connection to illegal hunting. It is time for change !
I found it all into the RHS but unfortunately it would not allow me to submit my comment in which I said that hunting is a very cruel activity and a very ugly activity which does not go along with pretty gardens, besides a hunt passing through your garden would trample it all down!

Sent it on Sunday- no response yet
They are frightened of hearing the truth.
Me too, also, no response. They will no doubt be thinking of us all though!
