Wonderful to see how altrrnative solutions that benefits wildlife and helps protrct both habitat and wildlife, are being sought and implemented. Well done
I dis humans for so much wreaking havoc on earth. But then stories like this give me hope and lift my spirits. The ingenuity of humans can do so so much good for our planet. This is such a good news story. Thank you
Chris Packham should read this article, especially where Duncan Zuill says "As far as the trees are concerned, it's no good shooting the deer. We'd never shoot enough of them to make a difference."!!!
Thank you for mentioning this to us Protect the Wild and for providing the link to subscribe to them 👍👏✊❤️💖💖!! I have subscribed to them to see where this long overdue humane alternative leads.
Landowners are all too often stick-in-the-muds who refuse to try new things, one of the reasons wildlife is in such trouble. It's lovely to know some forward-thinking people are stepping in with intelligent solutions to replace the old-school brutality, putting wildlife first.
Good initiative, although if we reintroduced wolves and/or lynx, they would control deer populations for free.

I am very glad to read this! Good on Willow Worlds 👍👏✊❤️💖💖!! Interestingly, I came across these 3 articles not long ago too: 1. https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2025/feb/17/wolves-reintroduction-to-highlands-could-help-native-woodlands-to-recover-says-study (possibly from the same study you kindly provided the link to PTW)

How interesting! I do hope this works. It will surely help. So nice to read a positive story too. :)
Great news, could also bring back Lynx and re introduce of Wolves into parts of the UK. Then shooting deer could be banned 😎🦊🦊🦊🦊🇬🇧🧡
