Chris Packham narrates our new animation on the badger cull
Join us in calling for Labour to keep their promise and end the cull
You may have already seen it but last week the brilliant Chris Packham narrated our latest animation calling on the public to urge Labour to stick to their word and end the badger cull.
“Over 250,000 badgers have already been killed. The Labour Party have pledged to end the badger cull. We must make sure that they keep this promise. Sign the petition to end the badger cull.”
We’re firm believers that it is now almost pointless asking this current tory Govt to do anything to protect wildlife, let alone end the senseless badger cull that they originally signed off back in 2013. Our best bet is to keep the pressure on Labour and ensure that they keep their promise which they made back in October last year to end the cull in England.
So if you haven’t already, please do watch our poignant animation and share it on your chosen platform too! Speaking of which we are now closing in on 50,000 followers over on Instagram so if you’re on there and aren’t already following us, please do!
All of our animations to date are also neatly displayed on our Instagram profile too :)
ADOPT A BADGER AND SUPPORT US FURTHER
At Protect the Wild we are campaigning against badger persecution and the ongoing badger cull.
We have commissioned a series of powerful animations designed to highlight the cruelty and futility of the badger cull.
Through our Equipment Fund we’re proud to have been providing trail cams and night vision optics to front-line groups taking direct action in the field to protect badgers.
We’re syndicating the blog posts of the Badger Crowd – a team of specialised ecologists and scientists who focus on badgers and the cull.
We created Protectors of the Wild, a free resource that looks in detail at the laws protecting badgers and other animals. Protectors explains what we can do if we see a wildlife crime taking place.
And we are now calling on an incoming Labour government to honour its promise to stop the badger cull. Join us and sign a letter to the Shadow Environment Secretary today!
By adopting a badger with Protect the Wild you will help fund our efforts to protect badgers and help expose wildlife crimes committed against wild badger populations.
As an adopter, not only will you be helping fund vital work, but you will also receive an exclusive Protect the Wild adoption pack including cuddly toy, glossy photo, and an information fact sheet.
There is so much animal abuse that can be easily accessed, you tube, tic tok, facebook ect.... the list goes on. Our children are not being taught to respect All animals! What a shame that humans are the worsed monsters on this planet.
Just to update re my comment about the PCC election in Bedfordshire, John Tizard the Labour and Cooperative Party was duly elected. In my correspondence with him prior the election he assured me he was concerned about wildlife crime and would be investigating further. Now I shall wait and see. I will writing to him to congratulate him on his success and remind him of his concern. If any have new PCCs please do write to them regarding their standing on wildlife crime. We do need to continue to press home about this. In my correspondence to John Tizard I included links to Protect the Wild, The Badger Trust and League Against Cruel Sports.
