Love love love this place. Helped me with foxes at our works company. With flea treatments and antibiotics a couple of times. They are there on phone and in person if necessary.

I’ve dealt with Graham, top bloke and team. I help them with a donation if I can.

I'm so glad to read the foxes are being treated for mange. Years ago when I was a rescuer, we did the same. The RSPCA however, did not! We were called to a dockyard to trap 3 fox cubs with obvious mange. The RSPCA had trapped 2 before we were called and to the dismay of watching dock workers, stopped the van at the gate and there and then put down the 2 cubs!! We were then called in when the dockers heard of us. We captured all three remaining cubs, treated them and returned them when all were fully furred again to the same dockyard. One man was in tears to see them again! One day, I WILL get around to writing my substack and talk about how very good foxes' memories are too!

We have had foxes coming to our garden by night to eat the food we leave him from time to time. Two weeks ago, for the first time he crossed the garden in day time, in front our 3 flabergasted hens and went on. I think he didn't attack them, it was because he was ill, he had severe menge with a nearly naked tail. I put food again the next night but it was a very healthy fox that came. I don't know what to do for the one with menge. I live in Reading and most of the foxes come from the campus of the university. They used to have plenty of rabbits there but they have built so many buildings that rabbits have become rare.

You can get food with mange treatment in it, but not sure where from. There may be a local fox/wildlife group who could advise you.

Probably from 'The Fox Project'. I know they used to do that. Think it is homeopathic treatment they give. Have to be careful to ensure the target animal receives medication of any other sort or it could be dangerous.

Vanessa and Rosemary, my cousin in Bristol buys it , apparently you pay for it through a donation, she has several foxes come to her garden and this miracle food gets them back to health and better condition.

Brilliant! Can you find out and advertise it here please? I'm sure lots of us will be interested in buying some! One of the hunt's excuses for 'controlling foxes' is that they will suffer more from disease which will spread rapidly if foxes are not 'controlled', particularly urban foxes.

I tried a few years ago. I found an organisation that sent me a bottle of medicine free of charge (lost the name) but it is not necessarily the ill one that takes it, it can be a healty fox. I keep watching (we have a camera)

Everything you do is appreciated ( at least by me .... )

I would like to contribute from time to time , but don't wish to commit to Β£3.50 a month . Please can you advise how this might be done ?

Thank you

With a world seeming so cruel and self centred, it is so good to read of places like the Wirral Fox Rescue. There are people who are good and kind.
