A recent vaccination programme for TB was carried out on badgers in Cornwall, apparently with a 100% success rate. As a former farmer and landowner (no cull allowed on our land) I’d like to think I understand the issue quite well. I fail to understand why the NFU, DEFRA and the government (of whatever colour) can’t adopt a vaccination programme nationwide. Oh, of course I would cost more …….

Thank you as well for having a heart and not allowing barbaric badger "culling" on your land!

I thought so. Thank you and you are most welcome! I hope the article helps in some way! As you rightly said Dave M, if it wasn't for the higher cost, I can't understand how government officials can get away with killing badgers instead of vaccinating them when there is so much evidence everywhere showing how flawed and uneccessary the cruel killing is!! Good on you, We need more good people like you 👍!!

Well done Rob! I am so glad Betty will no longer be alone! A hug from us all please! Hopefully, you may be joined if only occasionally by more people who live up that way? Pressure needs to be increased, but how if they won't even meet and listen?

Bless you and thank you all so much for everything you are doing Rob, Betty Badger and Protect the Wild!! I wish I could say that I was surprised and deeply shocked but considering what I know about DEATHRA in the past in regards to TB, farm animals (poor Geronimo) and wild animals, I am sadly not surprised but VERY VERY ANGRY!! They can cancel the Rwanda plan immediately, but not this barbarically abhorrent and completely uneccessary "cull"?!!! This isn't even mentioning wasting thousands of pounds on killing, all whilst claiming that the UK's finances are in a "black hole" and need to scrap the universal winter fuel allowance for pensioners to help "plug it"??!!!! I sincerely hope those legal claims against the continuing of this sadistic and uneccessary "cull" brought forward by groups such as the badger crowd are successful!! Also, what about this!!: https://www.theguardian.com/environment/article/2024/aug/06/badger-vaccination-cull-eradicate-bovine-tuberculosis-btb-farmers-cornwall-study-zsl-aoe

Badgers are great for eating scrub in woodlands and shouldn’t be persecuted.

The money wasted by government could easily pay for vaccinations.

Every animal was put on earth by God for a reason.

I have signed snd recently adopted a badger and will keep on doing so. But this evil new Labour Government does not care about old people so why would do they do a u-turn and stop this cruel an unnecessary culling.

I WOULD HATE ANY THING TO HAPPEN TO MY LOVELY BADGERS THAT VISIT MY GARDEN. WHY DO ANIMALS HAVE TO BE KILLED BECAUSE THE GOVERMENT SAY SO ? LEAVE THEM ALL ALONE.

AS I ALWAYS SAY, GOVERNMENTS ARE CONTROLLED BY THE ESTABLISHMENT WHO KILL ANY ANIMAL AS THEY DO NOT WISH TO SEE ANY OTHER ALTERNATIVE. DEPUTY PM IS OK WITH BUILDING ANYWHERE, EVEN THOU IT WILL DESTROY WILDLIFE.

The CFO of DEFRA is Iain King who has written a book called how to make good decisions and be right all the time. How do you argue with someone who thinks like that? Only him and satan think they're right all the time.

OK, no need to repeat what I've said several times before about the hypocrisy, untrustworthiness & blatant deceit of LABCON governments. But it occurred to me that DEATHRA is an unusually stupid & intransigent govt department that loves nothing better than killing animals & sticking two fingers up at the protests of the electorate every chance they get. The only possible explanation is that the most cruel, insensitive, arrogant, self-important yet totally incompetent scumbags are allocated to DEATHRA. This happens no matter which crap party is taking its turn to further ruin the UK, so we can only conclude that DEATHRA is a very low status department for unsackable dross.

Gotta stick them somewhere.
